David Welsh is the Tourpiper. A Professional Bagpiper for all occasions.

Hire me now to add the special sound of the bagpipes to your special event, be it a Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, Burns Supper or Corporate Conference.

For those sadder times I will add a stirring yet sympathetic touch to a Funeral or Memorial service.

I am a NZ Gold Medallist, World Pipe Band Champion, and have over 30 years experience playing the Bagpipes, so you can be assured that your event will receive a quality and professional touch.

I have played the pipes for over 30 years, learning in Aberdeen, Scotland and now living in Wellington, New Zealand. I have played for numerous bands including the legendary Shotts and Dykehead, winning two World Championships back in 2003 and 2005.

I am the current Pipe Major of the Wellington Red Hackle, moving them from Grade 4B to 2 in just 5 years. I am also a current member of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, based in Burnaby, British Columbia. ‚Äč Here is the Medley that was first overall on Saturday at the World Pipe Band Championships 2019 : https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07kyc09

In addition to band success I was the proud winner of the NZ Gold Medal for Piobaireachd in 2011
